There are many roles that students take on during their time here at Bluffton. They can be a scholar, a friend, an athlete, even a campus employee. Some students take these roles a step farther. You see them all the time. They might even be your neighbor.

They go unnoticed and unappreciated. These dedicated students are the ones that let you into your room when you forget your key or help you resolve a roommate issue. They thrive in the background but will be one of the first people to come out and support you. These students are your resident advisors.

Sophie Hobbs interviewed first-year resident advisor Jena O’Brien from Toledo, Ohio. She’s a sophomore majoring in public relations, and this is her story.
