Whistle

This song is part of BLACKPINK’s debut single “Square One.” The song was released Aug. 8, 2016. On Nov. 1 of the same year, they released an EP, and one of the songs included was an acoustic version of “Whistle.” 

This song is about a girl who is so attractive they can the attention of any guy they want, making the guy whistle.

Stay

“Stay” was released on Nov. 1, 2016, which was apart of an EP that included another new original song.

The lyrics in “Stay,” tell the story of wanting someone to stay with you no matter what.  

Boombayah

This is the other song that came out with BLACKPINK’s debut single “Square One.”  

“Boombayah” is a fast upbeat song. The lyrics describe the atmosphere of a party and the members of BLACKPINK are at the center of it.

Playing With Fire 

“Playing With Fire” was included in the November 2016 EP.

The phrase “playing with fire” means what you are doing can get you into trouble or hurt. In BLACKPINK’s song “Playing With Fire,” there is the message that love can hurt you if you are not careful. 

Forever Young

On June 15, 2018, they released their next EP titled “Square Up.”   

This song describes the feeling of having a perfect moment that you want it to last forever and be forever young.

Really

This song is apart of the “Square Up” EP, which was released on June 15, 2018.

The song “Really” is about someone who really loves you then they will stay with you through everything.

See U Later

Another song apart of their 2018 EP, “Square Up” is “See U Later.”

This song is about being done with a relationship. The girl no longer needs a man, and there is nothing he can do to win her back.

As If It’s Your Last

“As If It’s Your Last” was released on June 22, 2017, as a single.

The song describes the situation of making the next step in a relationship because it could be your last chance. 

Kill This Love

On April 5, 2019, BLACKPINK released another EP, which included the song “Kill This Love” as the title track.

“Kill This Love” is another song about ending a relationship because it is not good for either person involved.

DDU-DU DDU-DU

“DDU-DU DDU-DU” was released on June 15, 2018, as a part of the EP “Square Up.” In 2019 they released an EP which included a remix version of “DDU-DU DDU-DU.”

Kiss and Make Up

On June 2, 2017, Dua Lipa released the song “Kiss and Make Up” with BLACKPINK. It was apart of her self titled album “Dua Lipa (Complete Edition).” The album consists of 25 songs in total.

This song is about two people who know their relationship is going to end soon, but they want to give it one last try.

Don’t Know What To Do

This song was included in the “Kill This Love” EP which came out on April 5, 2019. 

“Don’t Know What To Do” expresses the feelings of not knowing what to do when you are now alone.

Kick It

“Kick It” was apart of the 2019 “Kill This Love” EP.

This is is about ending a bad relationship and focusing on yourself.
