It is a Saturday night. You know the upcoming week will be super busy, but instead of starting early on your homework you decide to wait until the last minute. What do you decide to do instead? You decide it is the perfect time to start a new TV series.
Whether it’s a sitcom, comedy or drama, there are many series out there that are binge worthy, and we would rather sit down and watch the next episode of “Stranger Things” before starting the English paper that is due in two days. How many of us say “just one more episode” before going to bed the night before an 8 a.m. class?
Here are my top 10 TV shows to binge watch while procrastinating.
10: “Switched at Birth”
“Switched at Birth” is a Freeform series created by Lizzy Weiss. It is about two girls, one is hearing, Bay Kennish and the other is deaf, Daphne Vasquez, who were switched when they were born. The two girls lived very different lives and do not meet each other until they are in high school where they come together to form one family.
“Switched at Birth” is rated at number 10 because of its uniqueness of incorporating Deaf culture into the mainstream media. The actors who play Deaf characters are either hard-of-hearing or deaf in real life. This includes Academy Award winner Marlee Matlin. You might even recognized Lucas Grabeel who plays Toby Kennish is the show from “High School Musical.”

She is later told that she is the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming a.k.a. Mary Margaret Blanchard and David Nolan.

It follow Elena Gilbert who meets two vampire, brothers Damon and Stefan Salvatore after her parents were killed in a car accidents. Emma gets random phone calls from an anonymous caller who threatens to kill another person if she does not comply to the killers wishes.
“Scream: the Series” is rated at a number six because it does a good job recreating the original movie while still making it its own. In the series it seems that characters have no connection to the ones in the movie. The scream mask is different, but the show does explain the origins of the new mask. Plus, there are some easter eggs and parallels to the original “Scream” movies.
5: “Hawaii Five-O”
“Hawaii Five-0” is a reboot of the original crime series by the same name. It follows the Five-0 team of Steve McGarrett, Danny Williams, Chin Ho Kelly and Kono Kalakaua. Their job is to stop serious threats in the state of Hawaii.
